The ABUS cranes are manufactured very precisely and carefully, from the input of material to the final control. All components are standard, developed and manufactured in multiple sizes to meet the technical requirements of all standard bearings up to 120 t. All key components are produced in the factory’s own facilities, which ensures the continuity of quality.
Welding is an extremely important technological process in the production of cranes. Welding affects not only the strength of joints and materials in the heat affected zone, but also the final geometry of the entire crane. That is why it is important that the welds are performed by procedures that ensure the quality and uniformity of the weld throughout the length with minimal heat input.
Many local crane manufacturers buy components and produce steel construction of the main girder by themselves. The product produced that way can not be measured with the quality of the ABUS main girder produced in the manner described above. Additionaly, in many cases small manufacturers complete the crane at the installation site, without previous factory testing.
Although the layman will hardly notice the difference between the cranes at first sight, especially not after setting it up on the rails, it shouldn’t be forgotten that the production robot in comparison to a man gives multiple better results in every way.
The ABUS cranes are welded automatically. Welding is fast, and welds are of exceptional quality. The heat involved is minimal, and the geometry of the final product is perfect! Anticorrosion protection is carried out using extremely high quality ecologically acceptable coatings. Every ABUS crane is tested at the factory before delivery and ABUS guarantees to its customers that they get exactly the product they expected.
