Modern overhead travelling and gantry cranes are equipped with overload protection devices that can be upgraded with additional devices and software which are together used for mass weighing.
ABUS has developed its own system for measuring the mechanical loading of the cranes. The operator can get useful information on the mass of the hanged load in every moment, within declared accuracy. This information can be displayed on a large industrial display fixed on the main girder or end carriage as well as on the remote controller's display kept in the operator's hand.
